Parts of Medicare

Not sure where to start? Most people feel the same way.
That's where I come in!
Here’s a quick look at the areas I specialize in:

Original Medicare
(Parts A & B)

Original Medicare includes two parts: Part A (hospital insurance) and Part B (medical insurance). Together, they cover many essentials—like hospital stays, doctor visits, lab tests, preventive services, and outpatient care. But here’s what surprises many people: Original Medicare doesn’t cover everything. There’s no limit on out-of-pocket costs, and it doesn’t include routine dental or vision care, prescriptions, or hearing aids. That’s why many people add a Prescription Drug Plan (Part D) and either a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) or a Medicare Advantage Plan.
When we talk, I’ll walk you through how Parts A & B work, what’s covered (and what’s not), and how that shapes your other Medicare choices. Whether you're new to Medicare or just checking that your current setup still fits, I’ll help you feel confident in your foundation.

Medicare Supplements (Medigap)

Medicare Supplement Plans (aka Medigap) help cover the out-of-pocket costs that Original Medicare doesn’t—like copays, deductibles, and coinsurance. These plans give you the flexibility to see any doctor nationwide that accepts Medicare, with fewer network limitations.

Desirèe walks you through the alphabet soup (Plan G, Plan N, etc.), pricing differences, and enrollment timing. Supplements are a great fit for those who travel frequently or want predictable medical expenses.

Prescription Drug Plans
(Part D)

Part D plans vary widely in cost and coverage, especially when it comes to formularies and preferred pharmacies.

Desirèe works with you to compare plans based on your specific medications and preferred pharmacy. She’ll also help with enrollment, yearly plan reviews, and transitions during life changes. If you don’t take many medications now, she’ll explain why it still makes sense to have coverage in place (hello, late enrollment penalties!).

Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C)

Medicare Advantage Plans are private insurance plans approved by Medicare that combine hospital (Part A) and medical (Part B) coverage—often with extras like dental, vision, hearing, and gym memberships. These plans typically have lower premiums than Medicare Supplements but involve a network (HMO or PPO).

Desirèe will help you compare Advantage options in your area, assess doctor access, and understand potential out-of-pocket costs. Perfect for clients who want bundled simplicity with added benefits
